I sell Fiestaware and require insurance on every auction. I will not purchase Fiesta from a seller who does not give me the option of buying insurance. This wisdom has been expensive. I watched my mentor purchase Fiestaware last year without insurance and the heartbreak and disappointment of opening ruined items. Be that as it may; ALL IS NOT LOST if you break your Fiestaware accidentally, or if you have the unfortunate experience of buying and losing prize Fiesta pieces because you neglected to pay for insurance. Broken Fiestaware can make beautiful mosaic art (pictured above). I will not go into the specifics of the process of mosaic. That would be another guide altogether. Most libraries will have books on mosaic, tile installation, and the applications. Surprisingly enough there is a market for your broken Fiesta. I notice buy it now posts requesting broken Fiestaware daily. I have also noticed auctions selling broken Fiestaware by the pound. As you might guess the retired colors and vintage are the most sought after. It would probably be wise to separate broken vintage Fiesta from broken Post 86 Fiesta if you plan to sell it. Fiestaware is perfect for mosaic projects because all colors in the spectrum including black, white, and gray are available. So don't throw your broken Fiesta away. Save it until you have enough for a mosaic project. Save it until you have enough to auction off on ebay and make some profit on your loss.
