Do you like to ship through USPS?  Do you want to save money on shipping? 

I will show you some ways to save money on shipping when using USPS as a carrier.  First of all,  it is less money, and more convenient to "Click N' Ship" through the USPS website.  You not only save on shipping, but you also get other benefits and discounts that will help protect you (the seller) as well as the buyer.The retail prices are the prices you would pay if you went to one of their local post offices, however, i think you will soon realize it's more cost-effective to purchase online.

Shipping Discounts (Domestic):

-Express Mail: 3% off the retail price

-Priority Mail: 11% off the retail price

Insurance NO ONLINE DISCOUNTS:

Insurance may be purchased online, but there are no discounts.  It is the same as it is at the post office.  If you do order insurance online, you may only purchase up to $500 worth of insurance.  Otherwise, if your item needs to be insured more, you will have to take it to the post office where they can insure the item up to $5,000.

Express Mail: Up to $100 of free insurance (same for online as it is at local post office)

Delivery Confirmation Discounts (Domestic):

First-Class: $.18 (retail price is $.75)

Standard Mail Parcels: $.18

Package Services: $.18 (retail is $.75)

Priority Mail: FREE (retail is $.65)

Parcel Select: FREE

Signature Confirmation Discounts (Domestic):

All signature confirmations can be purchased at your local post office for $2.20 (per item).  

Online, through "Click N' Ship" it's $1.80 (per item).  The price is reduced even more with USPS Priority Mail  

• ╝The following are ineligible for signature confirmation: Express mail services and Periodicals pieces, First-Class Mail letter sizes and flat size pieces, Mail sent to APO/FPO destinations, mail paid with precanceled stamps, Mail sent to any US territory, possesion or freely associated state (exception to Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands)

Global Express Guarenteeed: insures item up to $100 free (same for online as it is at local post office)

Express Mail International: insures item up to $100 free (same for online as it is at local post office)

Delivery Confirmation Discounts (International):

Delivery Confirmation is not available for international shipping (exception to Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands)

Signature Confirmation Discounts (International):

Signature Confirmation is not offered to international destinations (exception to Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands)
