Dear fellow eBayers,
As we all know eBay is the top online auction site with millions of listing closing everyday. Guess how many listings in eBay have misspelled words? The misspell word in the listing will result in less hit for the item, and there is a good chance eBayers might just get a hugh discount from the item they are looking for. Try searching eBay live auction listings with some misspell words and have fun.
I did a test on LAPTOP searching eBay live auction with the word LABTOP. (correct spelling should be laptop) I found 130 listings using the misspell LABTOP and out of the 130 listings 15 are featured listings. (sellers paid a premium to list their listings using featured auction) Imagine paying top dollar to list an item and spell the name wrongly, how silly was that?
I also find listings from "shooting star" sellers with more than 10,000 have misspell words too. If a Titanium powerseller of eBay can misspell, imagine how many newbie eBay sellers will make a silly mistake?
Do you want to pay less for a Franck Muller Swiss watch? Try searching eBay with the word FRANK MULLER, you will surely find a couple of top range; expensive watches. EBayers will question how do I know that? It is because I am also one of the silly seller who once misspells FRANCK as FRANK Muller. I just want to be FRANK in my guide.
Next try CANNON, and you will get at least 10 Canon camera selling at hugh discount because of the misspell word.
The second top misspell word in my research is Diamond, my last search misspell Diamond as DIMOND I found 280 live listings. The most expensive "Dimond" listing I found is a $5000 diamond bracelet; please check with the seller regarding the authenticity, as seller may be selling DIMOND.....hahaha.
My personal favorite misspell word is LOUIS VUITTON. Try using VUITON (spell with only 1 T) and you find a few Louis Vuitton on very special offer. Try Louis Vitton too (spell without the U), you will be amaze by your finding. Be sure to ask the seller the authenticity of the Louis Vuitton before paying, otherwise you may actually get what you have find, one of the kind of LOUIS VUITON.....hahaha.
Are you ready for the top mispell word? The word SAPPHIRE are the top mispell word of eBay with 600 live listings found when you misspell it as SAPHIRE. The most expensive SAPPHIRE listing I found is a watch with Sapphire worth more than $30,000.
Some other words to try on;
1. Camra (camera)
2. Comfreter (comforter)
3. Nikom (Nikon)
4. Phon (phone)
5. Noka (Nokia)
6. Montblan (Montblanc Pen)
I have enough fun writing this guide, I will try to bring in more fun Guides.
