USED CLOTHING:  When selling USED clothing you want to make sure you are choosing something that is in gently used, something you think is cute or trendy in good condition, where there are no rips, tears, fading or stains.  If so, you must state so in the description.

NEW CLOTHING:
If you are looking to purchase items and resell with or without the tags, I would recommend with the tags in sizes of XL and above.  Plus sized clothing for women tend to sell much better than smaller sized clothing.  Cute Plus sized clothing in some areas is hard to come by, so they are sought our more online mainly through Ebay.  Always make sure you have a good description in the Title area like Plus Size 2X Cute & Comfortable Tank Top NEW  to attract attention and to get the proper people that are searching for this type of item will find your item easily.  I like to sell all used clothing up for auction.  I usually try to purchase items that are low priced so that I can reasonably double if not triple or quadruple the cost.

SHIPPING:  I highly recommend CALCULATED shipping, charge whatever you deam reasonable for handling and charge your minimum.  Get a scale so you can accurately weigh your item and make sure you have the vehicle in which you are shipping the item in with whatever else you are adding to the package (bubble wrap, tissue paper, invoice, etc) and weigh it all together to get an accurate shipping weight.

PRICING:  Do NOT inflate shipping and have your starting bid at a .01 or .99 cents.  For new items I like to do BUY IT NOW because I can choose the price and I like to double or triple the price I paid for my purchased clothing.  As far as PRICING goes, price you would let the item fly out of the door, that way you won't have any regrets or complaining customers of inflated shippping (even though everyone else does it, doesn't make it cool).  Make sure in your description that you are colorfully describing the item, don't give your life story all the time, cut to the chase!

Learn how to use basic HTML to DRESS UP the way the item looks by changing the font color, font size to match the clothing.  Use HTML, good, crisp & close-up photos and good descriptions including measurements to juje up your item rather than spending more money on features offered by Ebay that bring up your listing costs.

PHOTOS:  When taking PHOTOS you should have a white background for darker items and a dark background for lighter items so your item will pop out when viewed in the gallery photo.  You should always have a gallery photo (thumbnail photo) when folks are quickly scanning down a long list of items, you want yours to jump out!  Take good crisp photos with your flash on and post the least amount of photos that show enough detail on the item 1-3 photos is sufficient unless it is an intricate designed, expensive item like a designer piece or wedding gown or something similar to this.

LOTS:  When selling in LOTS (or more than 1 of a similar item), I would highly recommend breaking lots down as much as possible to bring shipping costs down and to make it more appealing to Ebay customers.  When selling baby or children's clothing, I highly recommend the smaller lots (no more than 15 items) broken down by size and gender and appropriate season.  I break mine up by spring/sumer & fall/winter.

When posting your Auction item, do not post or schedule to post your item during a time that the people that would not be purchasing these items would not be available to bid on the item.  I recommend never listing your item on a Friday or Saturday, those are the days when people are out doing things or out of town.  Sunday - Thursdays are your best days to have a listing end.  During Weekdays I list my items after 6:30 p.m.  On Sundays any time after 10:00 a.m. is a good time.  If you do a 7-day listing which I highly recommend for the most possible viewings.  You should keep in mind when the item will be ending (which will be the exact same day of the week and time that you posted it).  So, if you are posting something a grandmother or more mature person would be interested in buying you should list it when they would be able to bid on the item.  Also, my last piece of advice is to list your item in the Title Description area the way other people are listing the same item or the way you would type it in naturally to search for the item.  Otherwise, if you list it incorrectly, then no one will see the item and the item will not sell.
