The Saint Joseph Daily Missal was printed by the Catholic Book Publishing Company and is considered a favorite among Traditional minded Catholics.  Many Catholics look through ebay hoping to find a good deal on this vintage Missal.  It's easy-to-read pages are accompanied by beautiful color prints throughout, as well as photoengravure, Stations of the Cross and Mysteries of the Holy Rosary, and many indulgenced prayers.  The wording is easy to understand and parts of the Mass are marked and explained for each section of The Ordinary of the Mass which contains both Latin and English. Latin is on the left hand side and English is on the right hand side of The Ordinary of the Mass.  Some of these Missals will have little circles which mark the parts of the Dialogue Mass.  These can be ignored and are present in Most Saint Joseph Daily Missals printed after 1955.  The Dialogue Mass itself was introduced in the late 1930's.  

Some Catholics are under the false impression that Saint Joseph Daily Missals printed after 1962 will contain Novus Ordo Mass content.  This is entirely false.  Changes for the Novus Ordo Missal were implemented slowly, and these changes are not present in Missals printed up until 1964.  Any Catholic purchasing a Saint Joseph Daily Missal which states it includes Latin and English and Copyrighted 1963, 1964, will be getting the identical content in the Ordinary of the Mass (except for the 2nd Confiteor, after 1962) of any Missal printed from 1956 until 1964.  All Missals are identical, but with the exception of those printed with the liturgical changes of John XXIII, which we will term as the 1962 Missale Romanum.  Those missals will have many Feast Days excluded, one of which is "The Finding of the Holy Cross", and many more.  The Traditional color pictures will still be included in all missals from 1956 until 1964. 

From 1965 onward will be the Tridentine Mass revised and then the Novus Ordo Missae.  If you see a book on auction which states it is a "Saint Joseph Daily Missal and Hymnal", then do not buy it as it is the new Mass revised edition.  They did not change the Missal as explicitly from 1965 to 1966, but then later we will see a complete change from the Mass Prayers as they were originally, to the Protestantism inserted into the New Mass by Bugnini, and the Vatican II reformers.
