The Saint Joseph Continuous Sunday Missal, 1956 to 1964, is one of the easiest missals to follow, produced by the Catholic Book Publishing Company, for the Pre-Vatican II Tridentine Latin Mass. The Saint Joseph Continuous Sunday Missal offers less confusion for the novice Latin Mass attendee. Each Sunday for the Church year is in a complete format with Readings and Ordinary of the Mass in the same repeat sections for that Sunday, say, for instance, First Sunday of Lent; that Sunday will have all complete readings and the Ordinary of the Mass included in the same section, then the next Sunday will be Second Sunday of Lent; with all complete readings and Ordinary where they are supposed to be inserted for that Sunday and put together in the same section. This is in a continuous fashion so there is no flipping back and forth from the Ordinary of the Mass to the Readings for the Sunday Mass, which makes it more desireable for those learning how to follow a Latin Tridentine Rite. These missals were produced in the Latin and English format, with English on one side and Latin on the other, or just in English, but all were produced to follow the Latin Tridentine Rite. Some of the Saint Joseph Continuous Sunday Missals will have a zippered case which was attached to the missal, which makes it nice for those who travel and need a book which keeps it free from the elements, while others were produced with Genuine Leather covers, Faux Leather Covers, or just plain hardback covers. All of these missals will have the Mysteries of the Holy Rosary in Color inserted in the middle of the missal, as well as full color pictures of the Stations of the Cross, which makes them a wonderful missal to take on Sundays if you are in the habit of following these devotions for thanksgiving after Mass, or just to read them at home for meditation on these Sacred Mysteries of the Catholic Faith.
The Saint Joseph Continuous Sunday Missal will contain all Sunday Masses for the entire year, as well as Holy Days of Obligation and Principal Feasts Days of the year. The missals produced before 1956 will have the longer Holy Week Services included in them, so if you want a missal with the pre-1956 changes for the Holy Week, then look for those produced from 1950 to 1955.
Catholic Treasure of The Lord Books has a wide variety of this very missal for resale. All will be in Good to Mint condition, and some will be in their original boxes and never used condition. For all of your Pre-Vatican II Reading materials remember to search in Google or in Ebay Stores for Catholic Treasure of The Lord Books, because they carry the widest variety of Latin Tridentine Missals available on the Web, and can offer you the most pristine copies that are in existance.
