This is a guide to the four English language manga or (graphic novels) by Mixx's Pocket Manga/Tokyopop Manga (which later grouped the manga for females as Chix Comix Pocket Edition) the second part of Sailor Moon known as Sailor Moon SuperS by Naoko Takeuchi.

    Manga (漫画) (say mahn-gah) is the Japanese word for comics and print cartoons. Outside of Japan, it usually refers specifically to Japanese comics. Literally translated, manga means "random (or whimsical) pictures".

  The original Japanese versions of the manga have a lot of extras/bonuses or omake (say oh-mah-kay) in their books, like full color mini pull-out posters, they also come with book jackets that have extra artwork on the back covers and the inside folds. All those images, along with the main cover art are available throughout the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon artbooks #1-5, Infinity and Materials Collection.

    Also, the Japanese versions did not group the SuperS and StarS manga separately (SuperS 1-4, StarS 1-3), all the books went from volume 1 to volume 18. I suppose Tokyopop did so to make it match up with the TV show more.

    Sailor Moon's English name is mentioned as Serena in volume 1, but she states that "everyone calls her Bunny". Bunny is the literal translation of her original Japanese name, Usagi. The four inner Sailor Scouts, as well as other main characters retain their English names from the TV show. The outer scouts, new characters and most villains also have their original Japanese names.
