Sailor Moon's English name is mentioned as Serena in volume 1, but she states that "everyone calls her Bunny". Bunny is the literal translation of her original Japanese name, Usagi. The four inner Sailor Scouts, as well as other main characters retain their English names from the TV show. The outer scouts, new characters and most villains also have their original Japanese names.
