I get asked the same question over and over, "Do you have any new switches/disconnects?" New ones are not always needed. If you want to get a good safety switch, just take a look at the guts. Look on the inside. If it's black or burned, don't buy it. If it's clean and looks good, then you can buy it. Used switches are almost always a better buy than a new one. New switches cost a lot, even here on eBay. A used switch can cost anywhere from $5 to $1000 depending on the amps and they are the better buy. They do the exact same thing a new switch does, but the seller just has no need for it anymore. For example, the switches I sell are used. (most of them) But, I only but good ones online. The reason I have so many is I buy old switches or unwanted switches from big companies. They are still in great condition and they work the same as a new one. Sure, they don't come with a warranty, but then again, you don't really need one. It's really a common sense issue when it comes to buying switches. Don't spend hundreds and hundreds of dollars on a switch just because it's new. Grab a used switch for 75% less money and it will do the job.
