When shipping breakables, I've found that packaging tape, shredded paper, newspaper and packaging bubbles/peanuts work the best.
When packaging a breakable, i usually wrap it tightly in a newspaper, then use packaging tape to wrap it again....then package in newspaper again, then put it into the box with enough shredded paper to secure it on top, bottom, and Each side. Once item is in the box, i gently shake the box to let the packing material "settle" then add more shredded paper or packing peanuts until there is no gaps.
This has GREATLY helped on shipping items, and have had NO PROBLEMS with broken items.
Remember, you can always require shipping insurance on very breakable items...BUT>>>>if the item was not properly packaged, the shipping insurance WILL NOT REIMBURSE YOU!!!
ANOTHER GOOD TIP!!!!>>>>if you are a seller...DO NOT BUY YOUR BOXES from anywhere...order them FREE at the united states postal service's website..usps. com
Good Luck!
