Greetings, I am Raven ! I have found that just the smallest little things you do for your buyers, can gain amazing amounts of repeat business, and even better, make world wide cyber friends.

I own the ebay store Moongoddess-and-Dragon. A great place with a bit of everything from tees to gifts, books, costume jewelry, pendants, etc....but that is not the point.

I treat each and every one of my buyers as an individual, not just a "user id on the screen". I offer to answer any questions that they may have, if they need some suggestions on gifts, or need something in particular, I offer my help to search for what they need, not a problem at all.

The BIG way you can gain repeat customers, and I know in my case - I have gained some wonderful friends is in the following paragraphs !!!

I hand write a little thank you and sign, on each and every invoice that goes out in a package. If a customer in their emails to me mentions the fact that they have children, I may throw in suckers for the kids, or if they mention they have a little girl that loves fairies, I will enclose a childs fairy bracelet -  and I always put in hard candy, or some kind of goodie for the adult buyers too.!!!!

AND for buyers that really go to town with my auctions and in my store, and buy , for instance a good amount of merchandise, such as costume jewelry....I make sure I write a personalized note on thier invoice thanking them for shopping with me , and I usually try to throw in a couple of freebie pieces of jewelry, I try to pick pieces that coordinate with the color or styles of the pieces they have purchased, so they end up with a matched jewelry wardrobe, that will all go together.

MAKE YOUR BUYERS HAPPY WITH THE LITTLE EXTRAS AND THEY WILL COME BACK, AS THEY KNOW THAT THEY WILL BE TREATED WELL, THAT THEY WILL GET GREAT SERVICE, KINDNESS, AND THAT LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA , THAT THE OTHER SELLERS DO NOT DO !!!!

I treat my buyers how I would like to be treated myself. It is that simple. And it will really help grow your business by repeat customers, word of mouth referrals....and the best part, having the opportunity to make some amazing friendships online.  I have friends / customers that have been with me since my first month on Ebay...Some of them now have their own successful stores on Ebay, which tickles me to death, just to know that I may have had a hand in inspiring someone to start a small home business, and encouraging them along the way - and then 2 or 3 years later SEEING the success they are having !!!!
