Hello Ebay!
I am a Shoe collector that focuses mostly on Exclusive shoes from Jordans To Air Maxs To Bapes.
I am a member of both ISS and NT and if you are questioning a shoe and would like my help or the help of ISS/NT just send me a message. I will help you in anyway I can and will post on ISS to double check the authenticity of your item/item you are bidding on.
I would like to share what I know about Jordan SPIZ IKES, the special edition collabo between Jordan and Spike Lee: Fakes are getting harder and harder to spot these especially but like all fakes theres always a flaw! and no matter what fakes are crappier quality shoes and will fall apart easier and faster.
Ways to spot fake SpizIkes are:
1. The cement print at the back are groves... they are just smooth screen prints. The real ones are actually carved in. There are groves in the real one.
FAKE the print is smooth
REAL notice how the black is more grooved in the real picture. Its not smooth like the fakes.
2. The Logo on the back is not stitched neatly and is not on leather. The real logo on the back is made of leather while the fake is plastic.
Fake (picture kinda small but the logo is on plastic and the stitching job is crooked).
REAL Notice how the outside of the logo is leather and not clear?
3. Alot of fakes DONT come with lace locks, that is another key sign to a fake. The real ones ALWAYS come with lace locks if bought retail (WHICH IS NO LONGER POSSIBLE UNLESS YOU BUY FROM A STORE THAT HAS RIGHTS TO RESELL AS THEY WERE A LIMITED RELEASE ONLY IN NEW YORK).
4. Last way is the wings on the panel. The fakes have flimsy paper thin flaps. the real ones have thick leather flaps and arent flimsy.
FAKE the flaps are really wavy and will drop if the laces dont hold them in place
REAL thick full grain 2 layer leather flaps.
Hopfully this guide helps for all you new Sneaker Heads that are just starting to collect Exclusive shoes.
Things to note are always: Colour, Shape if you look at half the fake jordans they're always deformed in some way. REAL JORDANS will NEVER be deformed. and last look always at details. compare to pictures of authentic shoes provided on www.issforums.com or www.niketalk.com or even from nikes website especially if there new releases.
Hit me up if you need help with anything. And if you find this helpful Say so, so I know im not doing this for nothing :)
