Spanish Moss Has Many Uses

One of the most the most common uses that I have used Spanish Moss is to retain moisture in container hanging basket plants,container plants,planter boxes & in floral arrangements here in my tree nursery.

The Spsanish Moss can be added to any container plant & the moss can be lightly misted with water in a spray bottle as needed to retain moisture.

The Spanish Moss can be used on both indoor & outdoor plants.

The Spanish Moss can be used with air plants,orchids or other plants.

Spanish Moss Can Be Dried For Crafts

The Spanish Moss Can be Dried Indoors or Outdoors on a trellis,bench or on a clothesline.

The Moss will lose the green color it had when alive & become a more brown color.The moss will lose the green color to silver gray when in need of water.Perk the moss up with the water in the spray bottle,better yet try to keep it moist to ensure it does not dry out if you are trying to grow it or keep it alive.

I have used the dried moss  then used it in wreaths,ground covering & crafts.

When I used the Moss for crafts I found as it dried it became lighter as the moisture had escaped consideribly when not misted.The moss became stift and was a rougher texture as the mosss dried.

I have also colored the Moss around the holidays by using Food Coloring & allowing to air dry.(Please Note * The drier the moss the better it absorbs the food coloring.)

When I colored the moss with food coloring I did not use the moss on live plants as the color will run.

Spanish Moss Can Be Used In Floral Designs

I also sell The Spanish Moss Grown Here In My Tree Nursery to local floral shops & in the U.S. to users that use the moss in floral arrangements, weddings,other holiday events.

One of my clients uses spray paint to color her moss and adds it to her designs to give a wonderful colorful affect to her floral creations :-)

I decorate the yard with the moss around the holidays using it on benches,chairs,trellis & with some of my ribbons I design that are handcrafted.

I sell Live Moss to a lady that raises birds which uses the live moss in her bird nesting boxes As My Moss Is Herbicide & Pesticide Free.

My cats also love the moss on a bench,which keeps them off my trucks :-)
