Here are a few tips on buying pharmaceutical pens that should help you find the best deals on the best pens.
1. Always add the shipping charge into your bid. If you are bidding $0.99, and the shipping charge is $3.95, you are bidding almost $5.00. Is that pen worth $5.00? Most people who buy these pens want more than one. Make sure the seller you are buying from will combine shipping, and make sure you know how they combine it. Some will say they gladly combine shipping, but all they do is discount your second item just a small amount.
2. Learn to do a search. If you see a pen that you feel you have to have, you can check and see all of them that are listed in auctions, and in stores. Here is all you have to do. Click on any item in pharmaceuticals, and above the title line, you will see the categories in which that item is listed. Usually the list will be Collectible, Science and Medical, and Pharmaceutical. Next, click on pharmaceutical. A search box will open that will allow you to enter the name of the drug, and see every pen that is listed with that drug name. If the bidding starts to go higher than you wanted to pay, there is probably another one coming.
3. Learn to use the Advanced search. There is a link in the top right of your page. Click on that, and you can learn all kinds of things. You can look at a seller's completed auctions. You can see the lists of bidders. That is a good way to find out if a seller uses shill bidders. Just be aware that anyone can look up your user ID, and see everything you are bidding on, or have bought in the last 30 days.
4. Just have fun with it. Don't get upset if someone outbids you. That is what an auction is all about.
