The SLP CAI (cold air intake) is made out of 304 Stainless Steel and features a unique dual inlet tubing, which 2 mini filters are afixed to. The unit is 2.5" in diameter. This unit comes complete with all mounting hardware, 2 filters and a heat shield. When installing this unit I found it helps to attach the elbow intake to the tubing, then while keeping the intake tubing vertical attach the elbow to the throttle body. After attached to the throttle body, rotate the tubing clockwise into position of the stock intake. The reason for doing this, is the clearance between the intake elbow and the radiator is very tight, and the same for the distance between the tubing and the ABS sensor. To put the filters on you'll have to unbolt the plastic flap underneith the car and slide the filter from there, since that's how they get the cold air. For the air sensor which plugs into the intake elbow you'll probably find that the wiring is too short, since GM didn't anticipate people putting after-market intakes on these things. follow the wire up from the sensor towards the engine, you should find there's a plastic clip holding the wiring in place. Just unhook the plastic clip and take the sensor wire out (there may be some cutting of the plastic that surrounds the wire involved). This should give you the clearance you need. It helps if you unhook the battery for 15min to allow the ECU reset. After hooking the battery up take the car for a drive be heavy on the throttle, that way the ECU can adjust for the added amount of air going into the engine. Enjoy!
