Some of the SINGER 15L and CLASS 15 machines offered on E-BAY are CHEAP KNOCK OFFS.

Singer stoped building these macines years ago and the machine is no longer offered in Singers product line. The company never licensed for the machines to be built in Tiawan.

The clones have a serial number plate that has Made In Tiawan stamped on it. It is located on theside of the base.

The serial number on the original Singer Machines is stamped into the base next to the thread peg on the front of the machine.

If in doubt ask the buyer for a serial number. The serial number is listed on the Singer web site.
