SHORTWAVE ONE TUBE REGEN RADIO RECEIVER CRYSTAL CLEAR BATTLE?
For some time now there has been an ongoing battle over a Hand Built Radio...SHORTWAVE ONE TUBE REGEN RADIO RECEIVER CRYSTAL CLEAR.
Several Radios show up under the same title, one seller says his radios are copied, the other reputes that claim. Let's have a closer look...
Three Hand Built "1 Tube Short Wave Regenerative Receivers" look similar with different old type tubes. All have a Main tuning, two or three other controls and a switch with the brass connectors. The top one has a ceramic tube socket, vintage tuning capacitor and the middle one has a vernier main tuner. The bottom one has more modern parts and a top hat on the different vintage tube.
All have modern knobs and engraved face plates.
As we can see it's a matter of taste. The construction looks excellent and each has it's Look! I'm sure all operate the same. They are all 1 Tube Short Wave Regenerative Receivers using a similar old radio circuit.
The top looks more vintage, the middle and bottom more instrument like or modern. ALL ARE WORKS OF ART!
