If you are new to Ebay I hope you read this first so you don;t get ripped off for shipping. The first thing to be aware of is calculated shipping with surcharges. Yes enter your zip code and it sounds fair shipping right? No there is a catch that can be added seller handling charges.I am not saying that the seller should not charge for this but there are those who try to cheat this way. Like adding a $10.00 handling charge for a item you just won for $4.00 that is worth say $8.00. See the profit. You thought you got a deal but in the end you paid over full price because of the sellers handling charge. So be careful read the description of the item for sell and see if the seller says anything about handling fees. If the seller does and you bid you have signed the contract in the eyes of Ebay. Even if you don't see a seller's handling charge it can be added by the seller at auction end. So you need to ask the seller before you bid if there is handling charges and if so how much. This needs to be done through Ebay only for your protection if needed later. Now another thing I am not telling you that if you do this you will win if you get charged for handling even if the seller told you say $2.00 and then decided to charge you $3.00. This is only a dollar difference and maybe you told them to wrap it up extra good. Lets remember to be a reasonable person it does cost the seller extra if you want the item wrapped more.(shipping wise to because of weight) Let's report these crooks to Ebay if everyone does there part we can help each other and help turn Ebay back into a good place to shop for good deals.
