SELLING YOUR ITEMS WITH BETTER RESULTS - Item Description Header
Welcome to the wonderful world of EBAY. Here are some pointers I would like to pass on, for you to get the most watchers and ultimately the highest selling price for your treasures.
It's all in the presentation baby. For sales training, they say most sales are made within the first 60 seconds. If the buyer recieves that good "FIRST" impression, then the rest is just the close.
Your ITEM DESCRIPTION HEADER is your "FIRST" impression. You want to start with a word that grabs the buyers attention, then the name of your item (for search purposes), then finish with some short descriptive information to finish off your header. Below are some examples:
ATTENTION GETTING - START WORDS
Vintage, Rare, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Shabby Chic, Antique, Modern, Post Modern, Vivid, Sparkling, Original, Dazzling, Remarkable, you get the idea.
Make sure your item name goes after your start word for search reasons.
Try to include the date of the item.
Try to use all of the characters (spaces) available in the Description Header box.
Abbreviate if needed (With box = w/box, No Reserve = NR, New in Package = NIP, etc, etc).
Shorten the names of company or maker of the item (Parker Brothers Games = Parker Bros., Louis Lamour = L. Lamour, Pablo Picasso = P. Picasso, etc, etc).
USE ALL UPPERCASE IN YOUR DECRIPTION HEADER unless you need more room in your description header.
These are few pointers to help you achieve the highest prices for your EBAY items, I hope this has been helpful, and keep checking back for more short tips.
