I advice the sellers not to be lazy to purchase/subscribe fine FTP space for own pictures uploads.
1) It will make the items to be better visible for buyers and it is always fine, except if one has something to hide.
2) You may add to your own listings as many images as You want without paying for every image shown.
3) You can make corrections with pictures if necessory, even if You have bids on the item.
4) Your sales will look more professional.
5) Better images may cause the higher final bidding.
6) You save time on sending people additional images.
But:
7) You probably will need a better photocamera, images taken by mobile telephone probably will look ugly in big size.
8) Certainly use the image resize (The bigger it is - the slower it up-loads to buyer's eye), within Corel-9 (-10, -11 or -8)
programm use compression about 25-30% not more but do not use smoothing. If you use Photoshop the final pictures will appear
much bigger in megs, but You can produce them faster to be ready.
9) Make sure to have the reserve FTP place where to upload images if main FTP falls.
10)At least one small image can be up-loaded to eBay's FTP - it is free.
11)With good scanner even thick images can be scanned, sometimes it helps when one cannot zoom image with camera.
