This is a feature in the sell your item form that enables a seller to specify whether they will take a product or item back simply because the buyer doesn't like it. The seller can choose a pre - formatted return policy and specify any additional things that they will consider or expect in order for the bidder/buyer to return the item/product.
The wording of the seller is what actually valadiates the sellers return policy. Once the seller chooses a return policy it will show up on the auction page to let the bidder/buyer know. This is not a standard policy and will not show up on all auctions unless the seller specifies it to do so. The seller can do it for one auction and not for another or for any others, it is simply their choice.
Sellers have told me tht in the past they have accepted returns, but no longer do so. When I inquired I was told many sneaky things that some buyers/bidders will pull in order to get their money back.
Once buyer told the seller she was buying a dress for a banquet she would be attending at work. The date of the banquet came and went and then the buyer wished to return the dress. She said it had body ordor stains on it and she had not worn it to the banquet. Since the seller had sold her a new dress that had never been worn and had come from the manufacturer directly, he knew that she was lying. He decided at that point he would not accept any more returns - for whatever reason.
One bad apple can spoil it for everyone. To read up more on what Ebay policy's are for sellers who wish to accept returns please go to http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/your-return-policy.html
A bidder should always inquire before bidding on any auction before they start bidding, after the auction is not the time. After a auction is over to try to get a better deal is not the way it should be done. This causes problems for everyone.
A guide's life with me, depends on the number of votes, it has obtained. The more people read it, this is a good thing. But the more people that vote for it as though it were worth while, will continue it's stay. Otherwise off with it's head, so to speak - and it will be permantely deleted.
