More stars means more buyer satsifaction, helps attact more buyers, and could earn money back from eBay.  Over the past few months, I have earned 4.95+ stars on all four DSRs. How?

Sell quality items for a fair price, use positive communication with your customers, quickly ship out items, and don't try to make a profit on S+H.

1. Don't sell junk.

2. Leave positive feedback when payment clears

3. Use MY MESSAGES to inform customer when item is shipped out.

4. Ship out orders the same day OR the next business day.

5. Charge minimal S+H fees (offer FREE S+H on additional items).

6. Include a "Thank You" note with every order you ship.

7. If you make a mistake, do whatever it takes to make things right.

* Power Sellers with 4.9+ STARS on all four DSRs get a 20% rebate on eBay's Final Value Fee.  You don't have to offer free S+H to get 4.9+ stars.  About 70% of my customers only purchase one item and do not get free S+H.  About 40% of my sales are international - which means longer shipping times - but I still manage to earn 4.95+ stars for shipping time.

When your customers are overall pleased with their purchase, they tend to give you more stars - in ALL areas.  Treat your customers at least as well as you would like to be treated.  After all, a business without customers will not survive very long.
