Red Wing Collectibles are HOTTER than EVER!  Now, YOU can PROFIT from the RED WING Craze sweeping the WORLD on EBAY!!!

Don't miss this OPPORTUNITY to cash in, retire early, add to your income and profit handsomely from Collecting RED WING Crocks, Butter Churns, Beater Jars, Pottery Items, Jugs and MORE...

There are PITFALLS to buying Red Wing Pottery on Ebay.

It is very hard to spot hairline cracks, minor chips and Repairs unless the photographer has taken excellent close-up photos of every exterior angle and inside areas.  There's just nothing better than seeing the piece, being able to hold it and feel the edges.  Good photos are the next best thing to being there.

Most sellers who have strong POSITIVE Feedback will stand behind their claims if they represent a piece as "MINT" or "EXCELLENT".  The cost of SHIPPING is a downfall because Pottery is HEAVY.  ALWAYS buy INSURANCE on your item because not everyone packs pottery properly and not every shipper handles your box with CARE!  After all, these items are close to a century old.

Why are there so MANY Red Wing Buyers on Ebay?  You have to understand the Ebay Buyer.  Ebay is a Marketplace that attracts collectors and bargain hunters.  Most collectors ARE bargain hunters!  They are also looking for that one-in-a-thousand RARE piece.  While typically a very rare piece brings a commanding price, some pieces or oddities may be underpriced and poorly described by the owner.  Ebay fills the need for both bargain hunter, prime collector, flea marketer and the rarest of collectible seekers.  Sometimes a bargain, but always an adventure!

In my experience on Ebay, along with spending hours and hours at public auctions, standing outside on my feet, only to have someone outbid me on a piece I HAD TO HAVE, I've found that when I buy GOOD Red Wing pieces on Ebay, I typically BUY that piece at a price under retail market value.  When I SELL common pieces on Ebay, I am often times better off to sell that piece at an ANTIQUE SHOW or Red Wing Convention if I'm interested in making a handsome profit.  The additional cost of shipping via Ebay probably keeps prices for common Red Wing pieces artificially lower than at other venues such as antique auctions and shows.

In other words, the secret to Profit on Ebay may be to "BUY on Ebay, but SELL somewhere else!"  I've had good experiences buying on Ebay and selling on Ebay, but I don't typically BUY an item on Ebay, then turn around and list it back on Ebay, because the market has already been established on Ebay.  Buyers can go to "Completed Items" and see what similar items or the exact item itself sold for previously.  If you take that same item to a flea market, antique show or pottery collector's show, you may get a better price and potential for profit.  Ebay opens the market for MORE unique collectibles than what a person will EVER see driving from farm sale to farm sale.

Often times, I purchase items via garage sales, auctions, private sales, then list those items on Ebay if I bought them under the market.  That opens up a HUGE market of buyers.  When you can buy at a good price, turn around and promote that item to the WORLD, you increase your opportunity to profit.  I also buy items via Ebay and sell them at Antique Tag Shows, Conventions or Red Wing specific Auctions where people are knowledgeable about current values.  That is how you profit from Ebay, the easy way!

Red Wing collectibles are a "SUPPLY AND DEMAND" collectible.  There's less and less supply, and more and more demand which will continue to drive prices higher for decades.  Buy now, because it will never be cheaper than TODAY!  Get the latest Red Wing Collectible books, study them and look for bargains or rarities.

If you are a collector, price really doesn't matter, but if you're like many Ebay Buyers who enjoy making a little profit while buying the things they enjoy, buying on Ebay can be rewarding if you follow a few simply rules.  Know your values, know the seller's reputation, study the photos closely and request added pictures if needed and always note the cost of shipping because that is a direct cost to you.
