I want to warn all buyers about the seller GEESBAGS. This seller deals in novelty items mostly "I Love Lucy" purses and wallets. The seller starts bidding at 0.01cent and then charges $20-25 to ship from a US to US address. The seller claims this is to cover handling fees. When in actuality it is to cover profit, fees and postage. When I tried to request resonable S&H rates the seller threatens legal action. I made a mistake and bid on two of her purses prior to reading the S/H closely. I was charged $46.00 to mail items which cost $7.00 in postage. This is a scam and has been reported to EBay by me and a number of other buyers. Ebay policy clearly states S&H is not to cover fees. However, buyer beware. The seller GEESBAGS is no longer a registered user under that user ID. The seller has multiple user IDs, allowed by EBay, and is now operating under GRAZIE100. She starts the bidding higher for her purses but is still doing the 1 cent scam with wallets. The buyer is still charged double the amount of postage cost. The S/H price is even higher if you purchase more than one item. This seller also engages in retalitory negative feedback when you report the excessive high S/H. The lesson I learned is to read the shipping and handling closely before bidding. If you are dealing with a seller who is charging high shipping and handling to cover profit and fees report them to EBay by going to the Help portion of the EBay homepage and type in Report a Seller. "Circumventing fees" will come up and will give you a step by step process to report these sellers. EBay also states they depend on buyers to do this. We all need to do our part to help protect the EBay community. Additionally there is a huge scam going on right now with designer clothing and bags. The seller will charge $20-$40 to ship a designer item. This is done to cover the fees Ebay charges to list luxury items. The shipping on the Anya Hindmarch and Fendi bags are outrageous. Think about it..why would it cost $25.00 to ship a purse weighing less than 1 pound to a stateside address?
