Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is caused by the lack of proper light during Fall and Winter months. The darker days signal the brain to overproduce the hibernation hormone, melatonin. Also, without sunlight, the brain doesn't produce enough serotonin, which results in the symptoms of depression. Medical experts and researchers have documented the causes and symptoms of SAD for over twenty years.

Full Spectrum Light Bulbs come as close to man-made sunlight as is technologically possible.  However, you must be sure you are buying the correct FULL SPECTRUM bulbs.  Bulbs that produce almost 1,600 lumens of full spectrum daylight, 5500 degree Kelvin and 90 CRI are the closet replication of natural sunlight available.
