The best movie to watch are those movies that are done in the aspect ratio of 1080p which is true High Defintion.

However your television must also be in the format of 1080p.

Most of the newest lcd tvs are 1080p but there are some that are only 1080i which is also known as 720p which this is the aspect ratio of most plasma televions and also the cable televisions cable tv hd boxes are only in 1080i.

When you watch a blu ray the only way to go is to make sure you hook up your television with a hdmi cable and make sure you television is a 1080p otherwise the quality will not do it justice for true hd and it will not look as good as it should.
