Rogan- A Guide to Rogan & Fashion
The hip and trendy Rogan line of men's and women's clothing is based in New York City and is the brainchild of artist and designer Rogan Gregory. His jeans, shirts, and other items of apparel have appeared in numerous upscale fashion magazines over the years, like Vogue and GQ, and are often worn by celebrities like Brad Pitt and Jude Law. The Rogan look is heavy on distressed denim, meant to evoke casual elegance suited for a modern lifestyle.
One reason consumers find Rogan clothing so appealing is its reputation for being environmentally and socially conscious. Rogan is known for using organic materials and promoting ethical guidelines in the creation of his clothes. Gregory has also partnered with Bono of U2, a singer known for his social conscience, to found the clothing line Edun. One of the goals of Edun clothing is to promote fair wages and working conditions in the developing countries where the clothes are manufactured.
The multitalented and energetic Gregory has also launched a line of hand-tailored suits under the name A Litl Betr as well as a furniture collection called Rogan Objects. This is a line of furnishings with a rugged yet clean aesthetic. The furnishings include recycled materials, and one of Gregory's favorite techniques is to combine a little bit of the old with a little bit of the new to create a modern yet accessible look in both fashion and furnishings.
As might be expected from a line of clothing with celebrity cachet, retail prices for a pair of Rogan fashion jeans can exceed $200. Regardless of price, they can be found on the hips of trendy consumers around the world.
