Health care costs have been rising for many years. In the United States alone health care expenditures have reached over $2 trillion in 2006, almost 3x the $700 billion spent in 1990, and over 8x the amount spend in 1980. This problem has become a real issue on Capitol Hill over the past several decades and we may all find ourselves trying to keep up in one way or another.
Taking healthy preventative steps may prove helpful in keeping you and your loved ones out of the doctor's office. Proper work outs, diet, and supplementation could be helpful in reducing these trips. It all seems so simple and we all most likely struggle in being disciplined. We are all so busy with our children, work, school, and prioritizing our lives that keeping healthy may find itself on your priority back burner.
Since these are tough economic times I have come up with a simple math reminder to keep myself aware of the costs of neglecting my health.
