I too was recently ripped off by Richard Fox and wish to warn others of this seller's dishonesty. After his 1973 Jaguar XKE V12 did not meet reserve on ebay, Mr Fox contacted me and described his Jaguar in great detail. According to him, the car was in excellent condition with only 56,000 actual miles and had only two or three stone chips which were touched up with a brush. Everything worked, the car was in excellent mechanical condition, and he even had his brother Nick take it for a confirmatory test ride. He was sincere and sounded both knowledgable and honest. I sent him the agreed upon $28,500 and when the car arrived I wanted to vomit. The paint is a $300 Maaco job with scratches and chips everywhere. The brightwork and trim is dented and dinged. All of the rubber mouldings are torn, cracked, and need replaced. Neither door will open using the inside releases and the passenger door will not open at all. The air conditioning does not work. The car will not start and runs only after ether is sprayed in the air cleaners. It runs on only six nof the twelve cylinders, blows blue smoke, and there is no oil pressure. There is a large coolant leak that appears to be from a blown head gasket. The transmission has a bad input shaft. In short, the car is a complete project that will need approximately $20,000 worth of repairs to be what he represented it to be. Richard Fox sells cars through his ebay name of v12motorcars and also his car business Fox Autohaus in Scottsdale, Arizona. He will not answer my telephone calls or return my emails. Buyer beware; this guy is a thief. Do not buy from him unless you personally examine the car first.
