A Review of the React Wireless Guitar Controller for the PS2

Third party controllers have throughout the history of games, always gotten a bad reputation, and sometimes it’s justified.  Many third parties aim to reinvent controllers (via a gimmick), or target too specific a niche user or game, renduring them almost useless.  I am happy to say, this is not the case with React's Wireless Guitar Controller for the PS2.  Compatible with all Guitar Hero games , the React Wireless controller offers a comfortable and affordable alternative to the traditional controller offered by Red Octane.

One thing that is great about the React Guitar is its size. For the younger gamer, this controller is ideal. It is smaller than the traditional controller, and is also more ergonomic, enabling the smaller gamer to feel completely comfortable with the controller. The controller is light, too, so you don’t get weighed down during longer playing sessions.  The guitar also offers the freedom of a wireless controller, something a wired guitar controller does not have. It allows you to play up to 50 feet away, and does not have a messy cord for you to trip over if you have too much fun with the game! While Red Octane offers a wireless controller as well, it’s not nearly as affordable as the React guitar. And that is the most important part. This controller is significantly less expensive than the official one. For example, Thumbmonkey offers this controller for under $17.99.  So if you’re looking for a good controller for your favorite version of Guitar Hero, or you need a second one for a friend to join in, the React Wireless controller is a comfortable and affordable third party alternative without all the cheapness and lack of comfort associated with third party controllers.
