Having been a Manilow fan for well over 30 years, I feel pretty qualified to be able to write a review for the Greatest Hits of the Fifties. If you remember the music of the fifties, you won't be disappointed. Manilow puts his own special touch on songs by the Righteous Brothers, as well as the sultry Love is A Many Splendored Thing and Not For Me To Say. His reunion with Clive Davis has been long overdue, and is a true blessing for Manilow fans. The fact that it shot up the Billboard charts speaks for itself. Songs such as Venus and It's All in the Game were spectacular when first released and now made even more memorable with Manilow's touch. Don't hesitate to get the CD...it's truly Manilow at his best.
