I have Revere Ware stainless steel copper bottom pans I bought shortly after my marriage in 1955.  The pans never wear out, only the heatproof black handles get faded with time.  I've bought more pieces over the years, and bought a set for my daughter when she got married.   If you buy quality you won't regret it!  You'll need a Teflon coated frying pan to cook eggs without sticking - again, get a good quality, heavy one with a heatproof handle, not a metal handle which will burn your hands -  and expect to replace the frying pan every couple of years when the Teflon wears out.   No matter whether you are buying cookware, towels, clothing, whatever - always buy quality and you won't regret it.  Happy shopping, Sonia Murray, happyman70
