In the world of supplements, anyone can make a claim about there product.
Quite often, these claims are untrue.
For example, take the claims of many resveratrol sellers.
Quite often, they will list there capsules as having 750mg of product.
Unfortunately, that is only half true.
While the capsules may weigh 750mg, these capsules do not contain anywhere close to 750mg of resveratrol.
Often these items are made with Polygonum Cuspidatum, that has been standardized to 50%.
In other words, only 50% of the 750mg in the capsules is really resveratrol.
Simply put, there is only really 375mg of resveratrol in the capsule!
Sometimes even less, as often these sellers include in the weight, other items such as fillers etc.
So while the total weight of the capsule is 750mg, often only 500mg of that is Polygonum Cuspidatum.
Then of that, only 50% is really resveratrol.
Also quite often they will tell you that you are getting this in just one dose.
But again a closer look at the label indicates that a dose is really 3 or 4 capsules at one time.
If you are going to purchase a resveratrol product. Be sure the label clearly states the following:
1. The total weight of the capsule.
2. The weight of each ingredient, including the weight of the inactive ingredients.
3. The % amount the active ingredient is standardized to.
4. How many capsules per dose.
Using these numbers and doing some very simple math, you can tell if the capsule you are buying really contain as much resveratrol as they claim to.
You can always find a true resveratrol supplement in my Ebay Store.
Where we list clearly on it's label the real amounts of resveratrol it has.
