well here is part 2 of what could be a long series,

First here I would like to stop and say this guide is intended to help the average Joe or Jane that has always wanted a cool car. Weather it be a Hot 32 Vickey or a 911 porsche, they all have a place in my book. I have built or rebuilt over 300 cars from a 1964 morgan ( thats a strange little hand built job that looks like a cross between a old MG A and a ducenburg but smaller) to a 28 ford model A leatherBack  from a 1993 fleetwood custom coupe to a Hot 34 Chevy, a tubbed 69 Camaro to a (one of my fav) blown  513 powerd 49 Ford pannel truck. So Lots of experience with many diffrent makes.

I would Like to also take time to thank all of my hard working employe's of the past .

Now while we were discussing project cars I feel it best to also mention that diffrent make cars bring diffrent prices for parts and in some cases even the work can be very diffrent. did you know that on a Austin Healy you bolt on the rear quarters? Some people don't. Also on the other side of the coin, a       55   T-bird the front fenders are welded on  and the seams leaded. So things can be diffrent as per cost of work, but the cars be realitivly close in value. Did you know that a fiberglass with steel frame shelby copy hood for a very cool 65 mustang (very nice piece I might add) is less than $700 but conversly a hood for a seemingly mundain 72 Sl Mercedes (reproduction) can be upwards of $ 3000. Again cars that have close to equal retail value( 65 Shelby clone $25,000) or (72 450 Sl Mercedes $25,000) parts that have the same function very diffrent price. Thus I will reccomend In this installment ; find out exactly what your dream Ride will be and RESEARCH all aspects. Find a shop that specializes in that car and take the time to meet with the owner If you can. I have found alot of car guys like myself, like to share information with perspective customers. Bring them coffie and doughnuts or somthing, make friends. These guys can become great helpers on your project but understand that they make a living by providing something to you the customer. They can sometimes be more expencive to get stuff or services from but the expertice will be such a benifit to you. They might even have exactly the project car your heart desires but remember , use caution and really do you're homework. Find maybe more than just one guy, but don't play them off each other. Remember they have a busness because they can provide the goods. Some may be difrent than others, diffrent strenths like krisper body line by one but much glossier finish by the other etc. But they have been there done that  with all respect I might not be able to say that for you.

so long for now look for Part 3 soon
