I've noticed lately a lot of sellers are charging required insurance on their sales. A great idea to help cut down on negative feedback and eliminate bad feelings when something is lost or broken in shipping. But beware of sellers that ebay hasn't been notified of yet that overcharge for this service. UPS includes insurance up to $100 of the value and charges are very minimal for extra insurance. Ebay explains that you cannot charge for insurance and then not purchase it, or charge over the actual amount because it is illegal. Ebay has a page that lists what the insurance should cost. If you are being charged more than what you should be, PLEASE, help ebay stop this by reporting the violators. If we all are aware of this policy maybe we can finally get the ebay auction site we all are dreaming of.
