Although we tend to approve replica and reproduction coins, in general they must be designed and marketed with great care to avoid suspicions of dishonesty. Unfortunately many are offered for sale in a misleading manner. In my opinion replica and reproduction coins should look real for the collector that cannot possibly find or afford to purchase the actual coin, but should also be clearly marked as a "COPY" to avoid any type of misleading dishonesty to the unsuspecting buyer.
