A new emblem is an easy way to renew your BMW's appearance, especially if the old emblem is chipped, cracked, faded or has been stolen. Here you have the instructions to replace it:...
Your trunk or front hood emblem is held in place by two grommets located at 3 and 9 o'clock.
To remove an emblem, slide a thin-bladed screwdriver under the edges of the emblem and lift it up a little at a time. Be sure to place a clean rag under the screwdriver to protect your BMW's paint.
Once you can get your fingers under the badge, pull it straight up and out.
Be patient and do not "rock" the screwdriver.
The grommets should be replaced if they are older: Simply push the new grommets onto the back of the new emblem. Push in gently so you don't break the studs when they slide on.
Finally, simply line up the studs with the corresponding holes in the hood, and press down with the palm of your hand, til the emblem goes no further.
That's it!... Now your BMW has a new look... Congratulations!
