a) I KNOW EVERYTHING AND IM INFALUABLE

They always know all things about everything, cars are no exception. They know everything about cars and of course the full install procedures for our product and the common errors customers encounter during the install; when they install it incorrectly, it must be a lack of results due to our product. They ignore the fact that 4500 humble customers have asked us for install diagrams and received personal install assistance and seen the results. Everyone of us know someone like this in our life. Maybe its a boss who always has the last say, a bother or a sister maybe who acts like they know it all, or a spouse who is always "right". Usually these people arrogant, self assured, hard to please even when you bend over backwards, it just isn't enough. We get the negative feedback from these individuals because:

they know "everything" =  never contact us for diagrams or assistance =  incorrect install  = lack of results = "bad product" ----> negative feedback

lets face it, "they are always right" and we never get a chance to assist these individuals.

b) ITS ON THE WEB SO IT MUST BE FACT! THUS, IM INFALUABLE.

group B also know everything but in a different way. They don't really understand the workings of the ECU (Electronic Control Unit, for you and I, it means the brain of the car that controls all functions) but they went on the forums and read some information by someone else who does not know but thinks they know. So instantly, this be comes the "fact" and is their truth. They don't realize that the information they read is incorrect. As we all know, the internet is exclusively for the competent and intellectually robust, they wont let just any knuckle head post about subject they know nothing about on their blogs or websites. Its the internet, everything posted on the internet must be fact!

Armed with all the latest knowledge and someone else's "thorough" understanding of the ECU, they decided to leave a negative feedback based on what someone else tells them to do. Its easy being sheep, we have all been there and done it. We only ask that you read this myth debunked section and make your own judgments. FACT! OR FICTION!

1) Consistent 55'F reading as the squeaky wheels have stated.

FALSE: Redline Power Chip when connected to your ATS/MAF sensor wires DOES NOT send a consistent reading. When Redline Power Chip is installed CORRECTLY (users who have stated that it will send a consistent 55'F reading installed it incorrectly and or have no real knowledge of ECU operation or our product) the ATS/MAF sensor reading is taken into consideration and with the factory ATS/MAF sensor and Redline Power Chip signal combined, the computer gets a reading that is variable and changes with outside temperature.

There are the straight resistor mods and other eBay chip mods with a resistor that is suppose to REPLACE your IAT or Coolant temperature sensor. With those mods, the reading the ECU is getting is CONSISTENT and does not change according to temperature. In colder temperatures when the temperature drops below the resistor signal temperature, the car will run lean and in extreme cases will result in engine damage.

We know this fact unlike other sellers and squeaky wheels and this is why Redline Power Chip works WITH your original factory sensor to send the right signal under all driving condition. We will NEVER ask you to disconnect a factory sensor which was put there for a purpose by smarter people. Redline Power Chip is the only way to go because we are aware of these issues and designed Redline Power Chip to avoid these common problems associated from other resistor or mod chips.

Also with those resistor mods, the temperature set by their manufactures is usually set at 32'F and not the 55'F the "know it all" individual online stated its set at.

2) MESSED UP MY ENGINE SO BAD IT WAS GOING TO BLOW UP!

MY ENGINE! MY ENGINE..... its alright.

FALSE: Read the whole story there. Basically this individual said our product "messed up" his engine so bad that it was going to blow up, but after resetting the computer, the engine ran perfect. Im not sure how an engine could be on the verge of blow up and than be running fine. It is oblivious, the engine did not get damaged. This is a case of "didn't follow instructions".  This individual did not reset the ECU when he installed our product was we instructed in big bold letters on the first line of the install instructions. If he has just followed directions and reset the computer when he did the install, there would be no problem. Also he didn't see any results, this is also caused by not resetting the ECU.

3) Redline Power Chip only dumps more fuel into the engine! You'll get LESS HP not more HP!

TRUE to a point: Individual who make this statement shows their lack of knowledge and only understands part of the picture.  Fuel is only good up to a point. Beyond that point more fuel is detrimental to power. The amount of air and the amount of fuel in a cylinder has a optimal ratio where the combustion is most effective and most power is extracted out of the fuel. Fire needs oxygen to burn, so when there is too much fuel, the fuel displaces the oxygen and less O2 means the burn is not as complete as it should and will result in less power.

What this individual who knows "everything", yet is ignorant to the fact that ignition timing also affects the power of the car. Ignition timing is when the spark is ignited. With out getting too geeky and technical, power comes from a combination of fuel burning in the combustion chamber and when the air fuel mixture is fired i.e.ignition timing.

The correct answer, is that Redline Power Chip changes both the fuel injector pulse duration ( the time the fuel injectors stay open) and also MORE IMPORTANTLY timing advance. 80% of the power actually comes from the .5-2 degrees of timing advance you see with Redline Power Chip installed. So when someone says "Redline does nothing but dump more fuel into the engine" you know that either they don't know what they are talking about or they got that plagiarized their information from someone else who does not know.

Stating fiction in the ignorant belief that it is fact, does not make it fact.

4) It will damage your ECU

FALSE: With a CORRECT install, there is no way Redline Power Chip can damage your ECU. The way a computer circuit gets damaged is if you put more current through the computer than what it was designed for. Lets say the ATS/MAF circuit that Redline Power Chip alters uses voltage between 0-5 Volts of power. If some how 12 volts of power was introduced into a circuit that can only handle 0-5 volts, you darn right the computer will get broken.

The fact is, when installed correctly Redline Power Chip does NOT introduce any new current into the circuit. Redline Power Chip only works off the current sent out by the STOCK sensor that is safe for the computer. On the other hand if the install was INCORRECT and they didn't ask us for install help since they knew everything and connected one side of Redline Power Chip to a 12 volt wire and the other side to the ATS/MAF circuit, you got yourself a problem.

Once again, someone thought they knew something they really didn't.

When in doubt, contact us for the correct install directions. 5) Resistors, resistors, resistors, ReSiStORS, resiSTORS!!

TRUE: What else should we use? Since the factory ATS/MAF sensors are actually variable RESISTORS themselves. We are not genius by any means, so we let the geniuses whom design the sensors and get paid the big bucks at the car companies dictate what system we should use. We just improve the sensor reading for those who WANT MORE than just the boring from point A to point B experience.

Our cost for selling each item is more than just the box, the resistor, Q-cas hardware, the wires, zip ties, the water proof insulation assembly. We have the cost of eBay fees, Paypal fees, web hosting, tech support, shipping costs, wages for our employees and others all of which are steadily rising.

Honestly, what each customers is paying for is a top of the line packaged performance mod. We save you time, effort and money. If you are the individual with extensive automotive knowledge and want to do the research, find the right settings, find the right install location, locate the right wiring, go and buy the parts and drive around with today's gas prices and in the end RISKING IT ALL by frying your $800 computer or blowing up your $5000 engine only to save a few bucks... we give you a pat on the back.
