I purchased 5 of these quads at one time, after owning a Kazuma 50cc. My friend bought a Kazuma 50cc quad for his son and loved it. So a few of us went in together and bought 5 at once and got a better deal plus the shipping place was close by so we saved on shipping by picking them up. We wanted and thought we were buying the Falcons but when we got there to pick them up they were Redcats. We were told there were all the same and they looked similar to a raptor so we were okay with it.
Now here's my take on these quads. Two of us bought a 150cc and a 200cc and the third guy bought one 200cc. We got them home and expected to have to put them together, which was fine because of the price. Now the Kazuma 50cc go together in about 20 mins and are easy so since we did one a month ago we thought the same thing. WRONG. There were lots of parts to put on like wheels, handle bars, bumpers, lights, tie rods, etc. It was crazy, and to top it off, not one of the five we bought had a single instruction sheet. Plus parts were missing. I had to tap my rear axle on the 200cc so I could use a bolt from my house to put the rear tire on since it came missing one bolt for the REAR TIRE.
Now the 150cc were a little easier to assemble but still a pain and no instructions. No parts missing either. However all five quads were the same when it came to installing the front bumpers and lights. NOTHING LINED UP. We had to bend and bang to get them on. It was so bad that on my 200cc I didn't even install the front bumper or lights since it was for my wife.
I now understand why they push quality so hard at my plant. The place were these come from, weather it be China or Japan have NO QUALITY SYSTEM WHAT SO EVER. If they did amybe things would have been complete and we would have had instructions. If your not mechanically inclined, you need to pay to have these put together. There really is one big bag of nut and bolt and cotter pins with a bunch of spare pats left when done.
After seeing this my son wanted a little 50cc like his friends. Now I should have known better and bought a yamaha or something "real" from the states but I didn't have the cash so I bought him a Kazuma 50cc like my buddies son. He didn't seem to havr too many problems with it so I figured what the heck. WRONG AGAIN. When it got to my house it was suppose to be blue, it was red and they sent an extra set of blue plastic so I had to change it myself. After I get the color switched around the rest was easy, until I went to put the battery in. This thing came with extra plastic, extra foot rest, AND NO BATTERY. So after all that my kid still couldn't ride it. I had to go buy the smallest battery I could find at Wal-Mart right away because my son was pissed. ONCE AGAIN, NO QUALITY SYSTEM OVER THER.
NOW ON TO THE RIDING. The little 50 cc after a little carb tweaking starts and runs every time. My son is only 4yrs old and starts it and rides all day without any issues by himself. I would recommend the KAZUMA 50cc to anybody. He's flipped it, rolled, smashed it, and it keeps on ticking.
The 200cc is suppose to be there "Racer" quad. It's not much faster than the 150cc. Plus the reverse is extremely hard to use. The choke is hard to find down by the carb and hard to get at. It also has a radiator on it to make it liquid cooled and faster. Well it's thin cheap aluminum that springs leaks. This quad is also a manual so you have to shift it and the gears are very short. Other than those few problems it runs great.
The 150cc is the best by far. It's an auto which make very user friendly. The reverse is easy to use, it's like pulling a hand parking brake in a car. The Choke is up on the handle bars so it's easier to start. This thing just goes and goes. I traded my 200cc to the other guy for his 150cc. I know I lost money but I feel that the 150cc is that much nicer than the 200cc and so does my wife.
So with all that said, there are pros and cons of these bikes. I'm not sure if I would be anymore, but if your looking for cheap throw away in a few years fun, theses are it. They aren't for teenagers that wanna go fast and take big jumps , because the suspension is really weak on them as well.
Hope this helps.
