I'm not a tree hugger by any stretch, but I have got to admit that half of my packing material is recycled. This is more for the first day Ebay beginners more than anyone else because it's occured to me that everyone who is already an Ebay enthusiast has come to know that recycling is the best way to go due to financial reasons. But not only can you save money, but you can help the world out a little too.

 We all have access to businesses that would gladly give up their boxes and packing materials alike to save room in their dumpsters. I work for a veterinary clinic so I have first dibs on all kinds of boxes and packing materials. Before my friend started her Ebay business, all of this material would be trashed. Now that I've been doing a bit of Ebaying, I make use of what she wouldn't and it's expense free. Large to small boxes come in all the time and too often go out to the dumpster. So don't be afraid to go to businesses even if your not a client and ask for their boxes and bubble wrap. Also, Do Not go to fast food restaurants for their boxes... I've worked at one fast food restaurant and if you have too, there's no need to read the last part of this sentence, they have bugs... Not only will you have unhappy buyers, you won't like the fact of having to call the exterminator.

  Wrapping paper is another great way to conserve. Ladies, we have all had that one peice of wrapping paper that never would fit so we either wrapped it back around the roll with a rubber band or threw it away, right? Well, it's among the many ways, I thought of conserving especially with the holiday season just passing.

Also, exploit the use of your grocery shopping bags. Now, a large corporation (need not to say the name) has a recycling system for their bags so that's always good to use if you haven't already found a use for them. But if your in a bind, my ebay friend/mentor has had so many grocery bags that have just sat in her house and unfortunately never got used or recycled until Ebay. It's a great way to clean house and ship safely.
