There are different ways to recycle any of these. You can cut the jeans up into different size squares for quilts, pillows, rugs, etc. The T-shirts can be cut up as follows:

1) Cut out the front picture/words into a 12 1/2" square, and the same for the back. That way both match.

2) The squares can then be sewn together to make quilts, pillows, or lap throws.

3) What is left over from the T-shirts can then be cut into 1/2" strips to be crocheted into rugs.

4) The pockets (if any) can be left in the squares to make quilts more interesting.

The same can be done for the Jeans:

1) Cut out 4 1/2" or 5 1/2" squares from the pant legs. {To do this: You lay pants so that  the legs are together. Cut of bottom hem. Then cut out front seam all the way up. Them shake the pants and relay them so the panels line up. Then you can cut out your squares 2 at a time}.

2) Sew the squares together with 1/2" seam allowance, to whatever size youd like.

3) Press seam allowance open before and after you sew blocks and rows together.

4)Cut out a peice of flannel the same size as top.

5)Put top and backing(flannel) right sides together. And sew 1/2" seam down 3 sides.

6)Turn right side out and press.

7) Turn bottom part (unsewed) in about 1/2" and pin down.

8) Sew all around edges, starting with pinned side, removing pins as you go, 1/4" all around close to the edge as you can get, for top stitching.

9) Then with any color, or even scrap yarn, or cotton thread and needle, sew and tie a knot in the center of each square to secure it.

No need for batting or filler, this will be plenty heavy.

You can also use the top of the pants to make purses, bags, accessory holders, etc.

If you have any pockets left over, you can use them sewn to a stiff backing fabric, and hung with ribbon or a dowl to make another type of accessory holder, or scissor holder, or for your teens stuff.

You can also decorate the quilts with whatever is left over, by cutting out different shapes and sewing them onto the squares. They can also be painted on, embroidered on, any kind of embellishment.
