The world of reborns is growning into one of the most popular trends for little girls, women, and collectors alike. All are wanting high quality reborns to have, and hold from this day forward. Reborns should make you think baby when you look at them, not doll. When you are searching for a reborn on ebay, remember to look for several things in your hunt... Look at the photos. They don't have to be high quality, but make sure the baby is represented well, make sure you are bidding on the baby in the photo. When you are looking at materials, look for key words, Genesis Heat Set Paints. These paints are the highest quality paints used in reborning. Mohair can range as anything else, good and bad. Make sure to ask the reborn artists what kind of mohair they used if it is not specified in the auction. Some synthetics are just as good as mohair, although you may not want to wash it, it is still beautiful and will withstand the test of time. Remember to look for the process. Reborning step by step. Look at all the details in the auction. A real reborn will have had most every possible reborn process it can have. If it is truly reborned. If it is not completely reborned there will be missing steps in the process or cheaper supplies used. Some artists do not do every reborning step and some do them differently. Just research the process in the auctions to determine if the baby has actually be reborned or just blushed and given hair. And if it is the right baby for you. I suggest asking as many questions as you can to the artist whose work you are interested in. If they have nothing to hide, they will answer ALL questions and with detail. Take all things in to consideration when purchasing a reborn, and think of the age group you are buying for and the quality you are buying. I use all the best supplies on my reborns AND I back my work with a warranty in case any of the supplies I use fail. I will repair or replace the part that fails on my dolls free of charge. I think if the right supplies are bought and used it will not have to be replaced for a lifetime. If you have any questions. REMEMBER TO ASK THE ARTIST!
