I recently encountered a fairly decent sale. 2005 YZF450 for $2950. Seller had bought from a friend in need and was selling just because he bought it cheap from a friend in need. Same story as many, seller contacted me personal email, ebay motor's agent would hold the money after I Western Unioned it and I would release it once I received the machine. I sent my $2950 and the next day the seller actually contacted me via email and ask for another $1000.00 for custom taxes. I new there would be no custom taxes as the machine was in NY. I haven't heard from the seller since. The seller changed their user name and here I sit with no machine. The worst part about it is ebay has the user's information because his email address is a still registered user at ebay. I have contacted everyone I can on this but am realizing that I am not going to ever get this money back. Absolutely be sure of your seller. My seller refused to give me a phone number which should have been a dead givaway. If they won't talk to you over the phone, obviously they don't want to sell anything. Be on the lookout for a 05 YZF4500. Seller will say they just bought it to help a friend in need.
