Swiss Watch Boutique did admit to using an old stock photo of a previous version of the Swiss Army Watch in question. They gave me a $10.00 refund back to Paypal. That's fine. What they didn't do was revise their selling points on the ebay page to reflect the fact that the watch you get isn't the one in the picture, does not have a screw-down crown as shown and is probably NOT water resistant to 30m. They did offer to take the watch back and give me a refund if I wanted. Doing that is more hassle, I already had the watch so I might as well keep it.
It's just that I am a stickler for truth in advertising, especially when it's something that I have purchased. Case in point: the well-advertised Stauer "Ritorno", or any Stauer watch for that matter. Not until you take delivery, open it up and read the back of the watch case do you find out that it's made in China, fancy German name notwithstanding. If you can live with that, OK. Why don't they say where it's made in the ads? Because they wouldn't sell watch one, that's why. And when Ebay sellers offer various Stauer models for auction, same thing. No seller is going to say, "Made in China." I guarantee there wouldn't be any bids on any of those watches.
