I and my wife both have the razr's through Verizon, i have to admit the razr's we had through Cingular(black one's) were terrible do to the motorola software,  volume and vibrate was terrible. Once getting the 2 we got for verizon the are noticably different phones phyiscicaly and internally! the verizon software stabelizes the phones usability as the stock software (from motorola used on t-mobile and cingular) caused the phone to go blank or just plain shut off. I know people feel that they need to have complete control over the phone but certin things on a phone are just not ment to be messed with! dont take my word check it out for yourself, also the phone is very durable if dropped, but like any other phone dont launch it into outerspace and you will be fine.
