Rap Music - This is what our kids are listening to

Due to this whole hip hop movement that is thriving in the Bay Area currently, there have been new terms that I have seen appear on the internet.  For example, I have come across the phrase hyphy boyz, pretaining to a group of males that are into or actually part of the hyphy movement.  Not only have I read  the title hyphy boyz in certain articles, but also the names hyphy boy ande boi hyphy.

 Hyphy boy and boi hyphy share the same meaning as hyphy boyz, but in this case in the singular sense.  In reality, all these phrases have no meaning.  You cannot go and look in a dictionary and expect to find any these words under the H section.  Yet, when talking to certain people, these words are almost common.  It gets on my nerves when I am talking to someone and they use all these kind of terms and I am at a lost to find what is his or her meaning.

 I mean use proper English for my sake, so I can understand the words coming out of your mouth.  Just the other day, I went on myspace just the other day and a couple of profiles had the name 408 boyz hyphy movement.  I mean what does 408 boyz hyphy movement mean anyways?  It is just amazing to me how the beginning of a certain era of music can have so much of an effect on its listeners, affecting everything from the clothes that they wear down to the created vocabulary that they use on a day to day basis. 

This hyphy music genre is operating just like a well oiled corporate machine.  I mean you just cannot buy publicity like this for any company.  If only some company was able to take over all these assets of the hyphy movement, it would be a very lucrative acquisition.
