Don't be fooled by someone who advertises a '91 Response as an Avenger. As far as a NADA guide price, the book only goes back to '95, so be carefull how high you go on your bid.
Go to nadaguides. com and put in the model and year of the ARGO you plan to bid on. Use the low retail and average retail numbers for your guide.
As far as Kelly Blue Book, their prices are for fully reconditioned vehicles with no problems, bumps, bruises and is immaculate. Please remember that only 5% of vehicles fit this description.
New Argos, (model years 2008/2009,) should be covered by some sort of warranty from the factory. These warranties are transferable and you should get a very detailed reason if a new Argo DOESN'T come with a warranty. Get your running shoes ready!
IMPORTANT!!
When you spot a late model, high-end Argo that has a "Buy it Now" price of less than a third of what it's worth, AND, the seller insists that you contact him by NOT USING THE EBAY MAIL SYSTEM, AND, is using photos of a machine that was advertised several months ago when the machine was in a completely different state, DON'T FALL FOR IT; IT'S A SCAM!!
............................................................
And they just keep on coming! Argos with a BIN price $2 - 3000 more than Kelly Blue Book! It's amazing!!! Stay on your toes, buyers. They're everywhere!!
Here are just a few random examples from NADA. Because only 5% of vehicles fall under Kelly Blue Book standards, we'll just stick with NADA:

**Keep in mind that when you have a 20 year old Argo in "mint" condition, that only has 60 "original" hours, there's something that needs a VERY close inspection. More likely than not, something's not right.**
It's up to you to know the differences in engine sizes. The Bigfoot has an 18hp, 570 in it, while the Vanguards will have the 16hp 480. Just because the ad headline reads "Big Foot" doesn't mean it is a Bigfoot. Also, don't be misled by a description that says Avenger/Conquest. They are two different machines. Don't get suckered.
