Randalls Top 11 Ways to Feel Healthier
1. Join a gym: As long as the staff is semi-competent and the gym itself isn’t overcrowded, joining a gym is still one of the best ways to get in shape.
2. Build a Home Gym: If joining a gym is out of your price range, or travel range, building a home gym can actually be better than joining a gym. The workouts are just as effective and you can shower in your own home.
3. Walk for an hour 3 times a week: Walking is low impact and burns plenty of calories.
4. Join a sports team: Join the lowest level sports team you can so you don’t look like an idiot if you’re no good. Playing sports is a fun and effective way to lose weight and get in shape without really feeling like you’re exercising.
5. Buy an Exercise bike: Exercise bikes are the easiest piece of Cardio equipment available today. Plop it in front of the T.V. and cycle your way through the Football game/Grey’s Anatomy. It’ll pay off.
6. Cut out empty calories: If you cut out all the garbage calories (pop, chips, candy, deep-fried foods, etc…) that you eat daily and replace them with their healthy alternatives you can lose weight without exercising.
7. Drink more Water: I find that the more water I drink, the more energy I have. Water also helps keep you full between meals. 8 glasses a day isn’t that hard to maintain, and your body will reward you.
8. Stretch: Spend 10 minutes a day stretching. 10 minutes a day can help fight pain, get blood flowing, and help you feel more energized.
9. Eat Breakfast: One bowl of high-fibre cereal will help keep you energized and regular all day.
10. Eat 25-30g of Fibre Daily: Fibre helps keep you full longer, it helps regulate your bowels, and fibre is only found in healthy foods. By replacing high-fat/high-sugar items with high fibre items you will remove a ton of the negative calories that sap your energy and expand your waistline.
11. Sleep: Taking a 10-15 minute nap can help you recharge.
