I also purchased a Rand Planer--I am a professional woodworker and liked the price compared to the Dewalt 733 and 735, both of which I'd used. The planer arrived and the handle broke immediately. Next the feeder wheels began stalling, leaving the cutters on a section of wood with a deep divot. Next the chain popped at its quicklink. I disassembled the machine. Put the chain back together and discovered the main driving roller canted at an angle. After reassembling the machine, it continued ruining stock, alternately stalling, and trapping wood regardless of incremental depth changes. I then smashed the planer into hundreds of pieces with a slegehammer. Then I put it a barrel. Now I am buying a dewalt, like I should have in the first place, because I know better than to buy cheap tools.
