My husband recently hit the "Buy It Now" on an RV 1300 miles away and only did this after speaking to the guy. Well turns out after flying my husband and dad out on one way tickets to pick up this RV this thing was JUNK! Nothing worked electrically, broken windshield, broken lens for turn signals, stated it slept 6 but only slept 4 since the dinette was gone, no house batteries, smelled like mildew cause it went through the floods in Texas, oh and a Texas State Vehicle inspection can be obtained through a Jiffy Lube type of establishment! The pictures looked great on ebay and the guy seemed like a stand up guy. Turned out that the pictures and the guy were cons. When we let ebay know, after he tried to post an unpaid item strike against us, the guy relisted the same RV. I sent numerous emails to EBAY and PayPal and this listing stayed on so some other ebayer probably got a bad deal too. Sad to say but Ebay doesn't care and sends computer generated responses, then to use the VPP insurance is a joke cause you don't get a response until its too late or they find some way around it and then PayPal doesn't cover deposits. Moral of the story, DON'T TRUST ANYONE, MAKE SURE YOU GO AND SEE ANY VEHICLE YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ON EBAY, CAUSE NO ONE WILL HELP YOU IN THE END. Then you won't lose any money. We lost the 1000.00 deposit, and paid over 1200.00 in airline tickets. Not to mention negative and abusive feedback and emails from a guy who ended up not knowing how to be a gentlemen and can't communicate properly.
